What is a Bass Guitar Arpeggio ?

We call arpeggio to the notes that compose a chord, from the most basic, we have chords of 3 and 4 notes and chords of extension that have 5 and 6 notes.

But here, we are going to focus on studying the  4 string bass arpeggios because we will have another exclusive section for the study of the chords in the bass.

Let’s start by studying the bass arpeggios for beginners, which are the three-note arpeggios.

Many people confuse arpeggio with chord, as far as musical notes are concerned they are the same, but, an arpeggio is to play the notes of a chord in a melodic way, that is to say, not simultaneously.

We can play them ordered or disordered but we will always play them melodically because to play them harmonically we already have the positions of the chords.

Now let us explain the formations of the bass arpeggios with the following bass arpeggio chart.
